STEM Conference

Seventeen students traveled to UPJ on April 9th to participate in the STEM Professions Day.  The students are the first students to enroll in our Exploring Stem Concepts course to begin next fall.  The program was designed to encourage high school students to investigate and pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.  Accompanied by Mrs. Ridgeley, the students attended workshops sessions that  included: Concrete Canoe, Drones and Quad-copters, Water Bottle Rocketry, Science – Fun and Game, Bird Brain, DNA Isolation, Conservation at Your Back Door, Building a New Brand: Product Launch, Tweeting Leadership, Digital Media, Project Protect, and SPACE (Symposium for the Promotion of Academic and Creative Inquiry).
