CC ART SHOWS STRONG AGAIN!

Central Cambria High School and Middle School art students competed in the annual Greater Johnstown Young Artists Exhibit on display at the Cambria County Community Arts Center from May 6 to May 29, 2014.  This year Central Cambria Middle School art students shined bright once again being awarded 3 of a possible 6 achievement awards, while the High School art students were awarded 7 of a possible 18 honors.  Other participating schools include Westmont, Richland, Bishop Carroll, Windber, Ferndale, Forest Hills, and Portage.

The 6th grade art students completed a group piece entitled "cows" which was also awarded a first place early this year at the Mount Aloysius Art exhibit.  Individuals Logan Tremmel and Carlie Whited also received awards for their work.  Other Middle School artists participating are, Kaitlyn Cooper, Colby Jones, Carly Kaschalk, Rachel Holtz, Kyle Anna, and Dalton Williams.

Award winners from the High School were Tedi Hollingsworth, Becky Wahl, Bailey Hildebrand, Shawnee Beahan, Kayla Anna, Erin Fenchak, and Danny Dostal. Other High School students with work also on exhibit include, Joe Caroff, Brody Lawrence, Jade Regan, Kate Scanlan, Colleen Albright, Taylor Mazarella, Jake Brang, Mollie Baker, Alex Teeter, Taylor Albertelli, Allison Risaliti, Kassy Brown, and Brandy Eckenrod.

Mr. Dumm and Mrs. Irwin wish to commend all artists on a job well done.  Thank you for your hard work and dedication, and for distinguishing yourself and your school!
