On Monday, October 6th, former Central Cambria
student Justin Monito visited Mrs. Hoover’s and Mr. Reynold’s Exploring
Concepts of STEM class, as well as Mrs. Hoover’s Physics and Advanced Physics
classes. Justin is currently a junior nuclear
engineering student at Penn State University.
He also works as one of the university’s nuclear reactor operators. Justin shared with the students a
presentation that he had prepared on nuclear energy. He also discussed with the students what it
takes to prepare for a career in engineering.
It was an awesome presentation that included a hands-on demonstration
and a lot of questions and comments from the students. Justin’s visit was thoroughly enjoyed by both
students and teachers.
