On September 12th, the following members of the ; Jordan Hayward, Javaunte
Neumann, Seria Neumann, Bryce Descavish, Hannah Swope and David Barnes, we were
chosen to volunteer at the local senior citizen fair sponsored by
Representative Burns and Representative Haluska. It was truly an honor to
represent Central Cambria HS at this event which was held at the Young Peoples
Community Center in Ebensburg. Local seniors packed the venue and were given
the opportunity to visit with local businesses which were geared towards their
needs. We assisted the elderly members of the community as they moved
around the center and then helped serve the lunch which was provided. Brining
smiles to the faces of the people we helped was an extremely rewarding
experience, it stressed the importance to volunteerism and how the smallest
gestures can truly have a positive impact on the world around us. We appreciate
this opportunity afforded us by the school administration, we will never forget
the power that an outreached hand or a smile can have on someone in need.
