CCHS Presents "#wordsheal" Program at JE

Central Cambria High School students came to Jackson Elementary School to present the #wordsheal  program.  This program taught 4th and 5th grade students about cyber bullying  and  how to keep themselves safe online and be kind to others.  A big thanks to Mrs. Shirk and the CCHS broadcasting students.

JE Reading Competition

We would like to give a “shout out”  to all the members of our Reading Competition Team.  The students work very hard to prepare for this competition.  Great job boys and girls!

JE Kindness Week

Jackson Elementary is celebrating  “Acts of Kindness week” with some  silly themed days.

CE Reading Competition

Congratulations to the Cambria Elementary Spring Reading Competition Team for placing 1st at the I.U.08 Interscholastic Reading Competition on Wednesday, April 6th. Not only did they get a 1st place ribbon, but the team was the second highest scoring team of the entire spring competition and there were 52 teams. Each team was required to read forty-two books from a designated list and compete against more than fifty teams to gain points by answering questions about the books. Participating on the competition team requires great time and commitment from the students. Please be sure to congratulate them for their hard work! The team members are Ava Monbourne, Jessica Lian, Annaliese Niebauer, Joy Sodmont, Kayden Magulick, Amber Bailey, Cerenity Smithbower, Abbie George, Abby Sheredy, Emma Dumm, Jonathan Wess, Kathleen Farabaugh, and Valerie Hodge.
