SFU Football Visit to CE

On Wednesday, March 11, 2015 the Cambria Elementary third grade welcomed six St. Francis University football players into the classrooms. The players read a Dr. Seuss story to the children and talked with them about academics, team work, leadership, sports, and making good choices in school as well as out of school. Each football player shared touching stories of who has influenced them the most and what they do to stay motivated and determined to be the best, daily. The children were excited to show their support by wearing red and black.

CCHS will be offering after-school tutoring from 3:00 – 4:00 pm during the 3^rd 9-weeks.

Students who need assistance are encouraged to stay for the following support from CCHS teachers:

Monday  - Math

Tuesday – Math/Science

Wednesday – Spanish/English

Thursday – General for any subject area

There is no charge for the tutoring services.  Students must have a ride home when tutoring sessions end at 4:00.

Central Cambria Faculty Members Take on CC Students!

On Wednesday, March 18, some of Central Cambria’s finest faculty and students will once again compete in a faculty vs. student basketball game to benefit the Relay for Life organization.  Festivities will begin at 6pm, though the doors will open earlier.  There will be food, prize baskets, games for children, and most importantly, the two basketball games: female faculty vs. the girls’ basketball team at 6 and male faculty vs. the boys’ basketball team following.  The cost is $3 for students and $5 for adults.  All profits benefit the Central Cambria Relay Team.  We hope that this year can be even more successful than last.  See you there!

BOOK FAIR EXTENDED

The book fair will be extended.  6th grade will visit on Monday, Feb. 23 and last day for all grades is Tuesday, Feb 24.
